Solomon, who was gifted with Godly wisdom said this:
"A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare." -Proverbs 15:1
A gentle word can help diffuse an argument. Some people like to hear themselves yell. I do not like yelling. It seems counterproductive to real listening.
We are called to be peacemakers whenever possible. Gentle words help accomplish that goal.
Today, I am grateful for a gentle word.
