Gratitude Year 12- Day 182: Today, I am grateful for a little blue planet and fireballs.
Of the countless wonders found in the realm we know as our universe, one of the biggest is the way our little, water-filled planet makes its way around a ball of fire every year providing us with our days, nights, months, and years.
Some say science is man being driven to seek truth. I prefer to think of it as man seeking God's truth, and finding evidence to His power and design in the magnificent order and structure of the universe. It is truly wondrous.
"The Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens." -Jeremiah 51:15
Here is a great little lesson pulled out of this passage" By his power He creates; by his wisdom he preserves." Oh dear... I think we will need to revisit that passage. I feel there is more to learn.
God the Creator is full of imagination. Look to the animals or the seas for evidence of his creativity.
Look to the genealogy of Jesus (Matthew chapter 1) to observe His hand in what seems impossible stories of survival and redemption. His love never fails and His hand is always on our lives. Each one loved individually and collectively as a part of the Family of God.
Today, I am grateful for a little blue planet and fireballs.
