Transforming Power of Music

Daily Gratitude Year 4-Day 276: Today, I am grateful for the transforming power in music.

Yes. Music is a powerful thing. It can alter the emotions.

Soul songs.
Power songs.
Worship songs.
Soulful ballads.
Silly songs.

Love songs.
Nature songs.
Piano solos.
Soundtracks of our youth.
Disney...is it's own catagory!

Cultures all over the world are richer because of their music. I adore a bagpipes soulful call. The whimsy of a country fiddle makes the soul light. The a capella chorus in a worship service gives me the good kind of chills. Music has transforming power.

I love all kinds of music, but I am a huge fan of Christian music for the encouragement at the very heart of the music and the conversation that builds up marriage, relationships and family. There is something for everyone in the Christian genre from country sounds to hard rock. Today's internet music gives us so much variety at our finger tips.

If you are feeling stressed and wired. Sad and forlorn. Consider what music messages you are using to water your soul.  Change the tune... the radio station... and change your life.

Never underestimate the power of the song. Her is a song that hasn't had much air time... yet. We heard Jonny Diaz perform it as a part of Ladies Day 2016 at Olivet. It is a love song for the "so married" among us.

Enjoy it."Thank God I Got Her"  It leans toward the country genre. I call this song "real" and funny, too.
