Daily Gratitude Year 6- Day 93: Today, I am grateful each one of us is incomparable in his sight.
I saw this image with the scripture and had to smile.
"So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t." -Romans 12:6 (The Message)
Isn't that good news? Teddy Roosevelt once said that "Comparison is the thief of joy". Joy busters are not good.
We are all designed in His image, yet each one of us is unique. The same kind of different... right? Our own preferences, biases and quirks. Some savor the avocado... others cringe at the thought. Some enjoy the luxury of denim days... while others love to sport a skirt or high heels. Each one of us was knit together by his hand... an a masterpiece in His eyes.
Don't listen to the spirit of discontentment that leads to the sin. Be grateful in this moment, for these blessings. We are all works in progress, but he adores us at every stage of our becoming. Who we are today... and who we will grow to be tomorrow. Red,yellow, black, brown, cocoa, white, pink and peach... we are all beautiful and precious.
It is true. When God sees you with his special God vision, he sees someone worth dying for. How special is that? As good as it gets.
Today, I am grateful each one of us is incomparable in his sight.
