Arts in the Park

Daily Gratitude Year Eleven- Day 104: Today, I am grateful for Arts in the Park.

This perfect week of Spring temperatures has us thinking about summer things to come. We had enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings. Summer will be here before we know it.

Our little village has a Fine Arts Association. June 15th - July 27th we can look forward to another series of live music in the park. It is always fun.

The music is diverse. For some, when the music moves them... they dance. I have some sweet memories of dancing with Mama the last summer she was with us. She loved music so much and it was something we shared.

One of the things we have tried to be more intentional about is participating in local, community planned activities. Behind every event are friends, neighbors and community members who pour their hearts, time and resources into making local activities available.

"They sing to the music of timbrel and lyre; they make merry to the sound of the pipe. -Job 21:12

If you are local, mark your calendars. If you are not, look for the local events to attend in  your own community. Music and connecting with our neighbors are good things.

Today, I am grateful for Arts in the Park.
