Warm Drinks

Daily Gratitude Year 5-Day 312: Today, I am grateful for a warm drinks.

As the temperatures drop, one of the things that lulls me into the season ahead is the appeal of cozy mugs with warm drinks... any time of day. Summer drinks are refreshing, but hot drinks can be mood changing.

Cute mugs... with handles big enough for three fingers... are a handful of happy. I have my favorites. Most are gifts or hold a memory. Some are simply irresistible and they end up on our shelf. Each one has the power to hold two cups of comfort (16 oz is the minimum size).

Coffee, teas, lattes, cocoa, hot cider or wassail... they don't just warm our insides. They warm our souls.

Warm broths have been a "good for what ails you for centuries.

We are serious about our warm beverages here in the USA. The Tea Act of 1773 was a big factor in the colonies rebellion against the King, resulting in "The Boston Tea Party."

Warm drinks offered are pure hospitality. They take a little time to prepare and drink. They extend a visit and saying, "I care enough about you to take the time to make something warm and finished to your taste and liking. Sit down and stay awhile"

Always be eager to practice hospitality-Romans 12:13b

Warm drink season... it is good for relationships and what ails you.

Today, I am grateful for a warm drinks.
