What if we couldn't feel that feeling? The one where our soul feels light and our face hurts from smiling. Joy bubbles out because it can.
We can only try to imagine the moment when Elizabeth's baby leaps in her womb, responding to the baby in Mary's. It had to be an affirmation for both women.
Mary responded, “Oh, how my soul praises the Lord. How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me. -Luke 1:46-47, 49 NLT
Earworm is singing "Bless the Lord, Oh My Soul". There are 10,000 Reasons to praise His name. He has, indeed, done great things.
We were designed to for worship. The truth is, we all worship something.
"Mary responded." Mary's response is an acknowledgement of that design. She could not help but sing. The glory of the Lord filled her. In this busy season... hold tight to the wonder and the wonderful.
Today, I am grateful for our souls can rejoice.
