Some family members are are friends; some friends are family.

It really is a great quote from a Christmas classic. Clarence was trying to gain his wings, and help George Bailey see the impact that one life can have on another. George let life's struggles weigh him down. He wasn't seeing things clearly. He could not see past his troubles. He was on the verge of a bad decision with no "undo" button. The angel in training, Clarence, helps him put it all in perspective.
"Whoever loves a pure heart and gracious speech will have the king as a friend." -Proverbs 22:11
Friends are a blessing beyond measure. They look out for us. They seek our best interests. They are pure in heart and kind in their speech, even when we do not deserve it. Grace is a beautiful thing.
The old earworm is singing, "I'll be there for you... 'cause you're there for me, too."
Today, I am grateful for friends.
