The Best "Yes"

Daily Gratitude Year Eleven-Day 350- Today, I am grateful for the best "yes."

Fear can make us careful. It can keep us from making poor decisions. It can help us avoid negative consequences. Fear can, also, cripple us and cheat us of God's best for us. I love the example Joseph gave us. He said, "Yes."

"Yes" to the mess. "Yes" to the backstabbing, gossip, and more. "Yes" to God's plan.

"But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” - Matthew 1:20-21

I need constant reminders to be bold and courageous. I only need to look to Joseph for the reminder that God's plan is unique, special, and surprising at times. In faith, we can say, "yes" to God's best. Fear is human. Faith is knowing His plan is better.

Today, I am grateful for the best "yes."
