Daily Gratitude Year 7-Day 155: Today, I am grateful for sky shows.
Do you ever watch the clouds for entertainment? The clouds form and reform like Play-doh made out of cotton candy.
What about the starry night sky? It is mesmerizing and the occasional falling star adds a bit of wonder and whimsy. The heavens are full of God's glory. Nature does, indeed, magnify the power and majesty of our Lord and Creator.
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. -1 Chronicles 29:11
Add in the birds for an air show that never ceases to amaze. The birds who gather and fly in a perfect "V" formation are amazing. To watch an eagle or a hawk in flight is fascinating. They spread their wings, they soar and they dip down to take their prey. They are gorgeous.
Lightening and thunder create an element of suspense. The thunder rolls and the lightning cracks. Unpredictable and full of power, it leaves me a bit breathless.
Look for a sky show today. Let it be a reminder of the awesome power of our God.
Today, I am grateful for sky shows.
