Do You See Love? I see.

Year 8-Day 338: Today, I am grateful we can choose to see love.

"May you see love in everything today, and may your heart be filled with gratitude." -Jane Lee Logan

Look around. Where have you seen love demonstrated in the past 24 hours? You, probably, don't have to look too far. Love is found anywhere you see someone putting the needs of another before their own.

Love acts swiftly when there is a need. Love acts selflessly without the expectation of a payback. Love is patient, kind and humble. Love forgives. Love persists. Love never fails. Look for these attributes and you will see love in action.

To see love we must look for it. To be love, we must learn to let go of fear and live by faith. Easier said than done? Sure. So we practice, practice and practice some more. One of my favorite scriptures:

"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love." -1 John 4:18

None of us is perfect. We all make mistakes. We all miss the mark. Love covers our failures. Love helps us press on. Love calls us to the foot of the cross where we kneel... completely overwhelmed by Love's choice... Love's sacrifice.

Today, I am grateful we can choose to see love.
