The Problem is not the Problem

Year 9- Day 34: Today, I am grateful "the problem is not the problem".

It is easy to focus on and obsess about a problem. Problems can look big and make us feel small. There are always going to be problems.

Jack Sparrow is such a character. He is unpredictable, funny and at times... much to everyone's surprise... wise. Jack said this:

"The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem." -Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean

Jack is right. Our attitude toward any trial or trouble is often the secret to pressing through our overcoming.  The size of the problem is not the deciding factor. "Mind over matter" is an old saying but it is still relevant.

Jesus, having walked in human skin, understands our frets and our fears. He longs for us to be fearless because of our faith in Him. We measure the size of our problems but forget to take into consideration the depth and width of the Father's love for all of us.

Jesus spoke these words of encouragement:

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” -John 16:13

We are joint heirs with "the overcomer.  What is a great insurance policy!

Today, I am grateful "the problem is not the problem".
