Daily Gratitude Year 9 - Day 308: Today, I am grateful the Spirit speaks without words.
When the Holy Spirit speaks, we need to listen. We feel the "urgings" when He speaks... and we know that feeling of discomfort He allows, it helps direct our paths.
When we spend time in The Word, we increase our sensitivity to the Spirit. Spiritual sharpness comes from digging into His Word and learning it. Study it with others. Iron sharpens iron.
"There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen." -Hebrews 5:11
Are there days I am too dull to listen? This passage in Hebrews continues to talk about believers who want to keep their faith easy, like milk in a baby's bottle. Do we learn to chew on His Word until we get it? Do we repeat verses over and over until they become a part of us. There is great value in memorizing scripture and it is good brain exercise.
The Spirit speaks without words. When we are moving the the beat of His heart, we find peace and calm. Listen to the voice we cannot hear with our ears. Press on, brothers and sisters.
Today, I am grateful the Spirit speaks without words.
