I love how she writes with comparisons that ring true with the average person. We have all used a straight edge to rip paper, to paint stripes or figure out if something is straight. A straight edge has many uses.
Sometimes, the scriptures are full of comfort. Other times, we feel them convicting our hearts. That is what they do.
Scripture breathes God's Word into our hearts, our lives and our souls. It helps us find our path and stick to it. God gives us His Word, so we don't forget who HE is. When we are in The Word, we are more likely to stay true to The One who gave us life.

Today, I am grateful for the straight edge of scripture.
