Daily Gratitude Year 6- Day 179: Today, I am grateful for special places.
Mackinac Island is a place if memories for us. We visited for a day...after our engagement. Then we returned for our honeymoon. There have been multiple visits in between. It is a beautiful place and it takes us back in time with the horse and buggy as the standard mode of transportation.
We visited again today with different family members than on previous trips. Each time, there are new eyes. New eyes see new things.
It is a place of remembering and for taking in things we missed before. The day was picture perfect with comfortable temperatures and the crowds were light. There were lilacs still in bloom some places. The flowers were in full glory. The waters and waves danced as the sunlight kissed it. Yes... a perfect day.
Today, I am grateful for special places.
