"The Little Things"

Daily Gratitude Year 7-Day 313: Today, I am grateful for the eyes that see the "little things".

Is the cup half empty or half full? It is much more productive to be positive than negative. Negativity breeds misery.

I love this quote from Morgan Harper Nichols:

“May you always be the one
who notices the little things
that make the light pour
through, and may they always
remind you: There is more to
life and there is more to you.”

― Morgan Harper Nichols

Let the light pour through and the hard days are more bearable. Some say we should be grateful for the broken places, because that is how the light gets in. I like that thought, too.

What do we look for in the chaos? Light and life... or frustration over the things we cannot control? We an choose the light and life. Choice is the super power God gave us. Most of his creation responds according to nature. We have higher thinking abilities. Sometimes, we use them.

Seek the light. Be the light. Let the light shine through. It is up to you.

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. -Matthew 5:13-14

A city on the hill cannot be hidden, but it helps to have eyes that see the little things.

Today, I am grateful for the eyes that see the "little things".
