A Good List

Daily Gratitude Year 10 - Day 4: Today, I am grateful for a good list.

My Sister in Love, Jennifer, loves a good list. I am not as much of a list maker as she is, but I do find them helpful. I have noticed if I write my grocery list down, I might actually remember the things on my list... even if I forget the list at home.

A sister of my heart, Susan Gilroy Cunningham, posted this list. It really is a good one. Thanks for sharing it, Susan. There are some things I love on the list and others that I know I need to work on... areas of growth. Isn't that part of the gift in a new year and a new chance to start again.

The 10 Commandments keep popping up in one form or another. It is truly one of the best lists for living ever created. Actually, they aren't goals and suggestions. They are commandments. What many do not realize is that they are more freeing than binding. When we live within the law, there is a freedom that comes from doing the right thing. It is a freedom that leads to peace and contentment. They are about relationships with God and each other.

"If you love me, obey my commandments." - John 14:15

A good list can help us take on the day. A God list can help us take on life.

Today, I am grateful for a good list
