Wash Yourselves and Be Clean

Daily Gratitude Year Twelve-Day 4- Today, I am grateful for reminders to "wash yourselves and be clean."

We have a soap problem! We enjoy Bath and Body Works soaps for all of the amazing scents. They actually last a long time. I am particularly fond of the foamy ones.

One of my favorite memories is from a weekend when my cousin Debbie and family came for a weekend. Her daughter, Rhianna, was little at the time and at the age when they say they have to  "go potty", you jump up and run to help.

Rhi was so cute! She kept asking to go to the bathroom. It was enough to make us wonder if something was wrong. Then we realized she had tried out all of the bathrooms and all of the sinks. She liked the foamy, good-smelling soaps. She tried them all. Some more than once. I still smile remembering.  The best part was that she was getting into the habit of good handwashing and there was no shortage of soap in our house. I think I sent some home with her.

Winter Citrus Wreath is one of my favorite scents. It is winter citrus with a little pine smell, too. (Yes, I seem to be on a Winter Citrus kick this week.)

"Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows." -Isaiah 1:16-17

Washing our hearts is a bit trickier than washing our hands. We need a Savior. We cannot do it on our own. I am grateful He whispers in our ear and guides us through our days.

Today, I am grateful for reminders to "wash yourselves and be clean.
