Children

Daily Gratitude Year Six-Day 343: Today, I am grateful for children.

We had our Children's Christmas Program today. Our young people brought their best gifts to the manger this morning and reminded us all of reason for the season. It was a beautiful time of worship and celebration! Each one gave their best and it showed. What a blessing it is to be part of their world.

Several teens who spoke, played  instruments and sang have been a part of our Youth Christmas Programs for nearly all of their days. It always moves my heart to see the young adults setting an example for the younger and medium size children.

Children have always learned by watching. Our teens and young adults are a vital part of our faith family. I was grateful for their example as they clapped and encouraged the younger children soloing on instruments and singing. For a few children, it was their first time before a crowd.

In a family, we all have something to give. We are better when we work together in harmony. We can learn so much from each other.
The littlest ones remind the rest of us that an eager and joyful heart is the best of gifts.

Those who practice... and practice some more ... to make their offerings special must delight our Heavenly Father. We don't even have to be perfect... we simply need to lay our best at the altar. Today... their best was spot on and practically perfect in every way.

(Please feel free to tag me to share pictures and the music. I would love to see the moments  you captured.)

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. -Psalm 127:3

Today, I am grateful for children.
