Year 9- Day 122: Today, I am grateful for the Father's Lullaby.
It doesn't matter how old our children get, they are always our babies. We celebrate watching them grow and go, but the years go by too swiftly. In our hearts, we keep the sweet memories of the season when we could fix most things with a kiss and some ice cream.
I love this scripture:
"The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." -Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)
What a beautiful passage! It echoes the heart of the God who loves us beyond measure. Imagine a heart so full of love, He breaks out in song over us. He is a God who is capable of slaying all of our fear dragons. He wants to stamp out any slithering doubts we may entertain about the depth of His love and mercy. We are precious in His sight. Once he quiets us with His love, "He will rejoice over you with singing." (NIV)
Nothing we face today, we face alone. Nothing we fear is out of His hand. Nothing. Take the time to listen to His whispers and learn the song of His heart.
Today, I am grateful for the Father's Lullaby.
