The Courage to Balter

Daily Gratitude Year 12 - Day 104: Today, I am grateful to celebrate those with the courage to balter.

Dancing is a part of being human. I do not know of any culture that has no dance. If there is one, I am sad for them. Dance helps us express joy and even sorrow.

Balter is a new word that is really an old one. Old English to be exact. It means to dance artlessly, without particular grace or enjoyment.

Joy makes all the difference. David had a moment.
He basically danced before God in only his underwear:

Meanwhile, David was dancing before Adonai with all his might while he was wearing a linen ephod.
- 2 Samuel 6:14

Just dance. It restores the soul.

Today, I am grateful to celebrate those with the courage to balter.
