Different Gifts

Daily Gratitude Year 7-Day 270: Today...I am grateful for different gifts.

How boring it would be if we were all the same? Some things would not get done as well as they do with people of different skill sets. Our differences complement each other, when we let them.

Have you ever watched a new building under construction? So many heads and hands come together to make it happen! Each person has their talents and trade. Each person has their sweet spot in the process. One person would not be able to finish the task. We can do more together.

This passage talks about different gifts:

"Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness." -Romans 12:6-8

We turn on the television and see that the world promotes sameness. I think our differences make us beautiful. I think God delights in the things that make each one of us a  "one of a kind".

Today...I am grateful for different gifts.
