Daily Gratitude Year 7-Day 290: Today, I am grateful we can make it a "Kindtober".
I just saw this list and I love it. I wish I had found it sooner. It could be adapted for November, too or simply use it as a kindness countdown to Thanksgiving. What if more of the world was intentionally kind? It would change everything.
The greedy are never satisfied. Those who selflessly and humbly pour out kindness on those around them never seem to run out and the feel blessed, even if they have very little in material wealth. Truth?
There is joy in giving. Paul spoke of this joy in his letters to the Corinthians:
Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. -2 Corinthians 9:11-12
The temperatures are starting to drop. It seems as the days turn colder, the needs around us become more evident. It doesn't cost much to be kind. We simply have to make the time.
Today, I am grateful we can make it a "Kindtober".
