Daily Gratitude Year 7-Day 294: Today, I am grateful when words fail... music speaks.
My friend, Clara Jo, shared this image with me. The girl knows my heart. Isn't it a great image? The message and the graphic are a perfect combination.
Music speaks to our souls. It impacts our moods. It can inspire or create a sense of calm reverence. In every season, music ministers at times words fail.
"You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song, and the trees of the field will clap their hands!" - Isaiah 55:12
The mountains and the hill will burst into song and the trees will clap their hands. There is a unique music in the Midwest autumn as the fall colors brilliantly proclaim the glory of the Lord. The leaves sing of summer's colors one last time before they take their final bow... and dance to the earth for winter's rest.
"Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts." -Colossians 3:16
We are to sing with happy hearts... full of gratitude.
We can sing when words fail.
One of the songs that comes to mind is "10 Thousand Reasons (Bless the Lord Oh My Soul)'.
Today, I am grateful when words fail... music speaks.
