Proverbs

Year 9- Day 11: Today, I am grateful for proverbs.

Wise little short sentences that have a way of sticking in our heads... that is a proverb.  Most cultures have them. They make their way to our hearts.

The image provides a definition. "Proverbs are short sentences drawn from long experience. "

When God offered King Solomon the choice of any gift, Solomon asked for wisdom. He chose a gift that kept on giving. It was good for him and those in his kingdom. Proverbs are made for pondering. Let them sit... and stew... and brew.

"Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser. Let those with understanding receive guidance by exploring the meaning in these proverbs and parables, the words of the wise and their riddles. Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." -Proverbs 1:5-7

We all need wisdom.

Today, I am grateful for proverbs.
