Year 7-Day 121: Today, I am grateful we can make each day count.
This image struck just the right chord today. The artist is Joanne Fink and you can find her on Pinterest. I love the idea of each day as a gift, but the colors in her image make it feel regal.
The birds don't worry. They make do with what is provided. From the food they eat to the nests they build, the go about the day singing, dancing and with enthusiasm.
We, too, can make each day count. We can embrace the moments and sing like we know the one who provides for all of our needs... in any situation.
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?-Matthew 6:25-27
There is no need to fret or fear. We miss the joy if we do. Share the day. Make it a memory. Don't miss the chance to love or light the way. We can choose to be a ladder, a lamp or a lifeboat. Each one makes a difference.
Today, I am grateful we can make each day count.
