Year 7-Day 129: Today, I am grateful for the little things.
Tiny gratitude grows into big blessings. We can be grateful for the little things. There are hundreds at the break of dawn.
My basement isn't flooded.
Coffee! Can I get an "Amen!"?
My fridge works ( I even had an icemaker, again)
A hot shower.
Shoes that fit and don't leak.
An umbrella.
Food for the day.
Children to love.
Pets to love.
Green grass.
Lola's birthdays. (My SIL is 60 today!)
Email for ease in communication.
Online bill paying for convenience and savings.
That was a quick baker's dozen. You, likely, have your own.
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. -1Chronicles 16:18
Most of what keeps us happy and healthy begins with thanksgiving. God provides. We don't need the best, the newest or be the first in line for something. He adores a humble heart. God is moved by a soul that is content to wake up and worship him in gratitude for the smallest blessings. He, also, loves a cheerful giver. Are we willing to share?
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. -2 Corinthians 9:6-8
Don't miss out on a great start of the day. Come up with your own baker's dozen of simple gratitudes. You can borrow mine, making the changes that work for you.
Today, I am grateful for the little things.
