Year 7-Day 137: Today, I am grateful for a God who has not left us without a redeemer.
Ruth is in the genealogy of Jesus. That is not an accident. God's big picture story unfolds slowly, but his hand is always present. He is with us always.
Ruth was a foreigner. That little tidbit is a reminder that God fully intended her... a gentile... to be in the Jesus's family tree.
Ruth's faith in God never waivered, even when life was hard. She trusted God's hand for her protection and provision.
Then the women said to Naomi, “Blessed be the Lord, who has not left you this day without a redeemer, and may his name be renowned in Israel! Ruth 4:1
Naomi and Ruth were in a pickle at the beginning of the book of Ruth, but God worked out all things in His time. His plan was sweeter and better than Ruth could have imagined.
Today, I am grateful for a God who has not left us without a redeemer
