Walk By Faith

Year 7-Day 138: Today, I am grateful we are faith walkers. 

We are faith walkers, not fire walkers; although some days it might feel like the flames are creeping up and closing in. 

 ...for we walk by faith, not by sight. -2 Corinthians 5:7

There is a rich blessing in believing things don't have to make sense. Frankly, God doesn't have to explain himself, because He is... well... God. Our calling is to love others, to make disciples and to live out our days chasing the heart of our Savior. This is our purpose and in it, we are free. 

Faith walking means finding comfort in the knowledge that his big picture is not in our viewfinders. Our comfort zone is not really "in the zone". Our earthbound perspective has limitations. We are bound by time and space, HE is not. When we put our trust in him, we can fly. 

To walk in the light of His love stretches us at times. Keep walking. It is worth it. 

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. -James 3:17-18
