Daily Gratitude Year 7-Day 212: Today, I am grateful joy has deep roots.
In farming, we learn young that deep roots make a difference when a dry spell happens. A good root system can be a game changer for a crop when drought occurs. Roots make a difference.
Joy has deep roots. It is does not depend on circumstances that change like the wind. In one minute... actually... in one second, life can change. There are amazing highs and incredible lows. It is a matter of what we have, but who is with us on the journey.
"She lived joyfully, not because here circumstances were joyful, but because she was joyful. -D.F. Uchtdorf
Make a joyful noise. Make a joyful contribution. Make a joyful moment. Even in the darkest days, joy has a way of bubbling up and offering us a "fresh breath", when Jesus is our source. The winds may blow, but there is peace and confidence in the one who commands the winds and the waves.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.-Romans 15:13
Today, I am grateful joy has deep roots.
