Change is rarely easy, but it is not always bad. Building new things keeps our minds sharp, our bodies engaged and there is joy on the journey. So, why do we fight change?
Comfort is probably the main reason. A fair number of humans prefer to stay in their comfort zones. Some with entrepreneurial spirits... they will step out and into the unknown. It is hard for me at times.
A part of my personality fears failure. The truth is we learn more from our failures than our successes.
"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” -Deuteronomy 31:8
How easy it is to forget that He goes before us! He is our strength and our source. We can build something new with confidence because the Lord goes with us.
"This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9
Today, I am grateful for opportunities to build something new.
