Year 8-Day 239: Today, I am grateful for things unseen.
Our eyes are drawn to things that sparkle and shine. Colors capture our attention, too. Those who make their careers studying design are well aware of the power of color, texture and shape in a design. These are all things that catch the eye.
There are unseen that are important, too. In fact, it is the things unseen that matter most:
"as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." -2 Corinthians 4:18
Truth, love, faith and hope are things we cannot see, but are very real. They are eternal. These things unseen strengthen us, comfort us and help us endure when times are tough. These thing unseen make our good times sweeter.
When things before our eyes seem insurmountable, remember... there are forces unseen at work.
Today, I am grateful for things unseen.
