Year 9- Day 66: Today, I am grateful for a limitless God.
Our God can do anything. Omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent are his defining qualities. Yet, He chooses to love us and longs for a relationship with us.
In fact, he is looking to go on an adventure with us. He wants to grow us, stretch us and breathe wonder into our lives. Sometimes, he puts things or situations before us that seem impossible, but with God... all things are possible.
"God is looking for those with whom He can do the impossible - what a pity that we plan only the things that we can do by ourselves." -AW Tozer
I can't help but think of Queen Esther. She didn't plan on saving her people. She certainly didn't believe she would be picked to be queen. She trusted that God had a plan and He would be faithful. He needed her obedience. With God by her side, she could face the King without makeup. (I love make-up, so this looks like raw courage to me) Esther stretched beyond her human limitations and trusted His plan, even when it looked crazy.
There are seasons when the path ahead seems impossible or doomed to fail. Our God longs for us to trust him with the impossible. He longs to strengthen, bless and make a way through the desert. He never rests, so we can.
"Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him." - Psalm 62:5
He is ready to do a good thing in our lives.
"Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong." -Ephesians 3:17
On our own, we are bound by human strength and skills. In Him, there are no limits.
Today, I am grateful for a limitless God.
