Signs of Spring

Year 9- Day 63: Today, I am grateful for the first signs of spring.

I love the brave little crocus. I've seen it pop its head through the snow.

In our front yard, we are seeing the first signs of spring flowers coming through the dirt. The fresh color of spring green fills us with hope as we wait for the plants to grow and boom.

Every year, as the cycle of life continues, my wonder at God's design grows. Nature loves order. Sometimes, it appears to act outside of natural laws. but for the most part, there is order. I never know when the hosta plants will shoot up, but they always do. Some sprout earlier than others. The late comers often last longer into the fall.

March winds can be warm or cold. I long for the warm. Coats are put away with celebration. Jackets become the outerwear garment of choice. These are signs of spring.

"for behold, the winter is past;" -Song of Solomon 2:11a

I've seen some late snowfall, even in recent years. This year, I get the sense that the snow may be behind us. Nature is showing signs. My heart rejoices!

Today, I am grateful for the first signs of spring.
