There is something about streetlamps that make a neighborhood feel more welcoming.
I love a well lit street after dark. Even during the day, the street lamp stands like a sentinel. Our oldest son and our first daughter-in-love live in a neighborhood with street lamps. I remember them talking about liking the look. I wholeheartedly agree. Street lamps are desirable.
Light changes everything about a space. The tiniest of lights can disperse the darkness. Light really is magical and wonderful.
“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden." -Matthew 15:14
To shine bright and break up the darkest night, the streetlamp knows it's job.
It is a good way to live. Be a light bringer and a keeper of light.
Today, I am grateful for street lamps.
