A Clear Message

Daily Gratitude Year 10-Day 336: Today, I am grateful for a clear message.

I love a clear message. The first rules of communication I learned in college were these three steps:  Tell them. Tell them  you told them. Tell them again.

It is how marketing works. You get the same commercial over and over. It makes the message stick.  We humans need a little repetition to help us remember things. Some of us need a little more than others. Clear messages help.

Product commercials never say, "It's pretty good stuff."  It claims it is "the best."  Let there be no confusion.

When the time was right... and it was perfectly calculated... God sent his only Son. He wanted the message to be clear that Jesus was the Son of God and Son of Man.

"In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe." -Hebrews 1:1-2

Jesus echoed the voices of the ones who came before him. He knew the scriptures, the prophecies and the promise He would fulfill. The number of "coincidences" where Jesus fulfilled prophecy... the odds are mathematically significant... for those who like evidence through numbers and calculations.

He delights in those who simply believe.

He came as the prophets foretold. Angels announced His arrival and sand to the shepherds of His birth.

Today, I am grateful for a clear message.
