Daily Gratitude Year 10- Day 148: Today, I am grateful for the times we are planted... not buried.
There is a difference between being buried and being planted. We bury the dead. Planting has purpose. The purpose is to bring forth new life. The difference is huge... life changing.
"Sometimes when you are in a dark place, you tend to think you have been buried; what if you've been planted?"
I love the semicolon... the dramatic grammar pause. The purpose... the expectation... it changes everything. Our human minds easily lean into the negative.
Pause. Ponder.
Place your eyes on the One who defeated the grave. Death will not defeat those who believe in Him. He promised. He keeps his promises.
" For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins." Colossians 2:12-13
Today, I am grateful for the times we are planted... not buried.
